Dystopian Lullabies

Ideas from the darker side of the human condition appear and float to the surface every so often. As I contemplate the biological similarities that make human interaction a balance between instinct and intellect, as in the paintings of Head Space. I find that the focus and control of creating one type of image triggers a type of psychological mania, the need to release a wild frenzy of the mark overlapping form to create a dystopian vision, saturated with innuendo, symbol and suggestion in layers of paint.
